As the Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will not only build and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions but also define our roadmap for AI innovation, enabling Penny to become a leader in the procurement technology space.
Role Responsibilities
As a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Penny, you will:
- AI/ML Development & Integration
- Design and implement AI/ML models to improve procurement processes, such as supplier matching, risk assessment, and pattern recognition.
- Develop solutions leveraging advanced techniques, including LLM technologies and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), to provide intelligent, contextual insights for users.
- Create algorithms that automate workflows and enhance decision-making in procurement.
- Technical Excellence
- Ensure AI solutions are scalable, maintainable, and secure while conducting rigorous A/B testing and performance optimization.
- Work collaboratively with engineering teams to seamlessly integrate AI capabilities into the platform.
- Stay updated with the latest AI/ML trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain technical leadership in the space.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven enhancements.
- Collaborate with data teams to ensure the availability of high-quality training data.
- Work with UX teams to design intuitive AI-powered user experiences.
- Share AI/ML best practices and mentor other engineers to build a culture of technical excellence.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Experience & Expertise:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development and deployment in production environments.
- Proficiency in a range of machine learning techniques, including LLMs, and a strong track record of delivering measurable business impact through AI solutions.
- Expertise in data processing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
- Desirable Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with procurement, supply chain, or enterprise SaaS applications.
- Knowledge of MLOps best practices and tooling.
- Experience in developing AI/ML solutions for Arabic language applications is a significant advantage.
